About Us

Accommodation The Way It Should Be

The Bustard has been an Inn for centuries. Situated on the main coaching road from Salisbury to Devizes, it has seen many travellers since it wa built some 400 years ago.

Like all old buildings, we have a mix of tight corners and steps idotted around, which makes wheelchair access possible, but not easy. There is no lift to the first floor, where our accomodation is situated.

We have 2 rooms available, a family room and a twin room, and these can be booked through AirBnB and Booking.com.

Accommodation

Both rooms are comfortable and designed to feel like home, with views over Salisbury Plain.

There is free wifi and easy, free parking.

As we are off the beaten track, you will need your own transport, whether that is wheels, pedals or good stout footwear.

We have both dogs and cats that live with us in the Bustard, so aren't able to have overnight animal companions, other than service animals. If you need information about the best local places to eat, or visit, please just have a word with our team, and we can point you in the right direction. We are in easy reach of Stonehenge (2 miles), Salisbury, Old Sarum, Old Durrington walls, Amesbury, Bath, Avebury and Devizes.

Why not link your stay with a Salisbury Plain Safari?

Victoria Room

Family Stays The Way They Should Be

Whether you are a family, or simply someone who likes having a bit more space and want some alone time, this room is great.

There is a double bed, a comfortable sofa (which doubles as a single bed for families) and space for a travel cot, which we can provide.

There is also a table and chairs, for eating or working, or playing a game.

The Victoria Room has its own private corridor which leads to it's private bathroom, and a shower above the bath.

As we know that family life can start early, and those who are working may find themselves up at all hours, there are tea and coffee making facilities, as well as a mini-fridge, a microwave and crockery for 4 people.

A continental breakfast can be booked to be eaten in your room for £5 per person.
